Your friends at Friends Ever After understand the grief you feel when you lose a pet. We understand the tears and the heartache. We understand that you need to mourn and grieve for your pet.
Grief shared is grief diminished.
It's so much easier to take your journey through grief with supportive friends and family. We can assist you in a traditional in-ground burial of your pet, in the location of your choice. Be sure to consult local authorities before selecting the location, to make sure your pet’s remains are not disturbed in the future. You may choose from our selection of beautiful pet caskets, or you may provide us with an appropriate alternative burial container.
Remember, your pet’s burial is the perfect time to hold a pet funeral, memorial service, or committal ceremony. We’ve written a complimentary guide, Celebrating the Life of Your Pet through Ceremony, to assist you in planning a meaningful ceremony in remembrance of your pet. Glady’s Story
Ed loved Gladys. She had been his constant companion for over twelve years. She shared his walks through the woods, predawn fishing trips and Sunday afternoon naps in front of the fireplace. She always listened, eagerly, to his thoughts. She was always willing to share a late night snack with him. He knew that in her eyes she could do no wrong.
This morning, however, Ed walks alone through the woods. The leaves are changing color and Ed can feel a chill in the air. His step is determined and his face is thoughtful. Finally, he reaches the place he seeks - a small wooden bench at the curve of the path and below the bench a small engraved headstone next to a statue of a Golden Retriever. Ed sits on the bench and reaches in his pocket for his handkerchief and gently rubs away the leaves and dust that have fallen on the face of the headstone. He sighs deeply and glances down to the words on the headstone, "Gladys - Friend, Companion, Confidant."
A tear slowly steals down his cheek. He closes his eyes and can almost feel Gladys' cold, wet nose in his hand. He leans back on the bench, the sun warming his face, and lets his mind wander to the memories of his times with Gladys. And soon the warmth of the sun has spread to his heart. He stands slowly, smiles down at the headstone and walks back to his home; his face peaceful, his heart lighter.
A memorial gift for a deceased pet often helps us to heal. In some ways it is like a key to the door of our memories, helping us to remember the joys we experienced with our beloved pet.
