For eighty years, Walker Mortuary has been in the business of comforting people.  Whether it's the comfort of knowing that your funeral arrangements have been preplanned or the comfort of knowing that the professionals at Walker Mortuary are ready to support and guide you through the funeral of a loved one.  Known in the community of Freeport for their understanding, integrity and character - Walker Mortuary has always had a reputation of excellence.

The passing of his beloved cat, Miranda, caused Steve Turner, to consider another option in his career.  Steve, and his wife, Catherine, had to travel nearly 200 miles in order to find a facility that would help them cremate their beloved pet in a respectful and caring way.  Steve realized then that the care and understanding his staff had always given to the families who allowed Walker Mortuary to care for them needed to be available to families whose pets had passed.

In 2007, Friends Ever After Pet Crematory, which is a subsidiary of Walker Mortuary, opened their doors.  We, your, Walker Family, are proud of the heritage of service and personal attention that is Walker Mortuary and promise that the families we serve through Friends Ever After Pet Crematory will receive the same level of service.
